I was already disturbed by the fact that Illinois snuck that energy referendum on the end of the ballot. (They slip this stuff on the end because they know you will not give it your full attention, may not completely read it and definitely won't think of the true implications) It was so hard to believe that so many peo
ple voted for that nonsense but now it is being endorsed like it is a good thing, I'm so disgusted I'm scared to eat because I might puke and I hate puking.
Haven't we learned anything? Evidently not! Every time we give elected officials more rope they tie another noose and and start choking us from another angle. After Daley sold the parking meters for 75yrs you would think we would know better. Did you know that before Daley signed that deal the contract was being introduced and marketed to private investors in Abu Dahbi, United Arab Emirates? By the way one of the companies
chosen for the "new" billboard deal has business ties with Abu Dahbi.
The "new" energy company is called Integrys this company "owns" "Peoples Gas Co".
So now my question is how did Peoples Gas get the Illiinois Legislature to trample over ComEd with voter referendum legislation? Who Got Paid and Who's Going To Get Paid in the Long Run? I have lived in Illinois all my life, yesterday I heard on tv that Illinois is the most politcally corrupt state in the USA and Chicago was the most politically corrupt city after Washington DC and today I'm inclined to believe it! The next time you pay that cable bill thank your elected officials for getting rid of that damn "free tv"!
